Since version 3.0 Twain Importer has natural support for Xerox MFPs. This provides great user experience and makes using Xerox MFP as a regular scanner. With Xerox devices users can create scan jobs directly from an application user interface and receive images into this application with one-button click. Twain importer supports two modes for Xerox MFP: Active Mode and Passive mode. Both modes have functionality automatically stop scanning when the last document imported from MFP. But Active Mode also allows making all configurations from user’s application and uploads profile automatically. In passive mode user has to make configuration from MFP’s administration user interface or from MFP directly or administrator can setup predefined profile (proffered). In sections below detailed instructions for different modes will be provided. MFP Twain importer supports any Xerox MFP device that has ability to scan to FTP.
