Description: SMB File Sniffer is a powerful network security utility for logging SMB protocol (sometimes called NetBIOS over TCP) files operations and capturing file bodies, transmitted within a LAN.
SMB File Sniffer allows you to:
- log SMB file operations with two levels of logging: detailed and errors only;
- intercept files transmitted within a LAN by SMB protocol (Windows and non-Windows servers are supported);
- select one of the network adapters, installed on your system, to log the packet stream of this certain adapter;
- collect the statistics of the lost packets on the following levels: network adapter, NIS internal driver, and SMB File Sniffer application level. | Short tags: adapter, smb, protocol, sniffer, capture, packet, nic, monitoring, file, logging, traffic, security, net, network | System Requirements: Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 | Change Info: First public release | Find last version of SMB File Sniffer | |

The idea is: You have a computer, or a network, where youd want to monitor the amount of the network traffic. It can be done in many different ways with different levels of complexity and reliability, but the Interface Traffic
- Network Eagle Monitor Knowing the status of the local network and being able to troubleshoot existing problems is the key task of any system administrator or anyone actively working in a network environment. There are many approaches to efficient network monitoring, but most of them are quite complex and are not adequately suited for daily use by a wide range of users. Fortunately, there are solutions that

- RemoteObserver - comprehensive control and monitoring of your network activities Most people strongly object to eavesdropping and surveillance because of the single fact that it steals their privacy — and that is quite fair and reasonable. - File Security Manager - full control over file and folder access permissions (even in Windows XP Home) Being an overall excellent operating system, Windows XP does have some versions that limit users control capabilities to a bare minimum. For instance, Windows XP Home offers a great set of multimedia and general features, but lacks the degree of flexibility that many advanced users would definitely appreciate. For instance, the Home version will not allow you to set file and folder access
