In those sad old days, CRT screens had to change their picture frequently enough to prevent pixel burnout. Those sad times are long gone, and nowadays screensavers are just an entertainment: when you arent using your computer, why
- ProSaver Screensaver Manager 1.0.1, Screensavers as Art Years ago, in the times of single-task OSes and old monitors, the «screen-saver» concept was introduced as a must (because if the same picture remained on the old screen for too long, the picture would physically damage the screen and create «burnt-out pixels» on it.) Years have passed, and modern monitors have almost no need for «saving the screen». Nevertheless
- Clock Screen Saver Although screensavers are mostly used for decorative and entertainment purposes these days, there are some of them that can really help you do your work better and faster.
