Description: If you're looking for a virtual reality gaming experience with stunning 3D graphics, then you've come to the wrong place! Celesteroids is an Asteroids style retro game which may bring a dewy eyed of tear nostalgia to those who remember a life before the Internet, and who may have owned a Rolf Harris Stylophone. I began Celesteroids as a bit fun, but later used it as an exercise to gain familiarity with the wxWidgets Open Source Framework and the MinGW compiler. Because Celesteroids uses the wxWidgets framework for its front-end, it should be possible to port it to other platforms, including Linux and Mac. However, for the time being, only a Windows is available. Released with source code under the GNU General Public License. | Short tags: Asteroids, wxWidgets, C++, GCC, Borland, VC2005, games, retro, arcade, source code | System Requirements: Not Demanding | Change Info: Added VC2005 Source Project | |

But the games Ive loved are «sooo 80s», that theres almost no hope to have those «retro»
- HopMon - a great fun-packed 3D arcade for all ages There was a time when games were all about fun and excitement. The graphics were far less impressive than today, the storylines were not like those of Hollywood movies, but despite all that, millions of players across the world met every new arcanoid with incredible enthusiasm. If you feel somewhat nostalgic about the good old days and the simplicity of the games you played as a teenager, you may want
- AntiPlagiarist 1.8, Where's Your Sources? Digital century and digital style of work bring new possibilities to all of us, but they also bring new problems. And new ways to solve those new problems; and new unwanted effects of those ways
And one of the most general possibilities (and a source of the problems) is *possibility to copy*. Scientific works and home works, magazine articles and blogposts, even entire chapters
- Macromedia Style Menu. Flash Done Right. Every serious web site does need a navigation menu. Any objections? OK, lets go further. The best looking and acting menus are Flash ones, its a well-known statement. As well-known, as Flash technologys drawbacks: large size, difficulties of design, search engines unfriendly-ness (they cant follow Flash links, and thus cant index entire web-site properly
- Dis# 3.1.1, Back To Sources The great feature of bytecode-based languages, and, namely, .NET assemblies, is a possibility to «return to source code» at any time. Assembly decompilation is a great tool to understand «how something works», either some general algorithms and data structures, or internal logics of some software or components. Unfortunately, simple decompilation tools give

As a developer, dont you have a dream that the day will come when users will be able to comprehend the logics of your programs without your assistance, and your technical support service will finally take a break from those round-the-day silly questions like «How do I go around this menu?» or «What is that button for?» or «What
- Virtual Music Composer 3.0 PRO, A Source For Inspiration Regardless of how «intellectual» you think your computer is, you cant disagree that todays software programmers have many smart ideas, useful for the most of us. In the area of music writing, conservative musicians tend to see the computer as a smart keyboard (sometimes way too smart); modern musicians tend to see it as a cutting table for samples
- PSpad, Code Looks Natural Have you ever tried editing any programming code in the Windows standard notepad program? Wasnt that easy and fun? I bet it was NOT.
