Description: Arid Ocean is a lifelike simulation of an underwater world with numerous species of fish, including white sharks, and dolphins. Huge underwater cliffs form a sea basin where water plants are swaying in the current. Light reflections are dancing on the ocean bed, and far away you hear some whales and dolphins calling out. In Arid Ocean you do not see the underwater world from a single fixed viewpoint only, but you are able to freely swim around within the provided ocean area and survey all the fish. There is even a nightly view where you can observe how fish and dolphins swim into the light cone of your headlamp. Even education gets its share: with a mouse click you can learn some details worth to know about each species, e.g. distribution, habitat, food and state of endangerment.
The program can be run as stand-alone application or as a screen saver. | Short tags: virtual, artificial, aquarium, marine, life, simulation, underwater, fish, sharks, dolphins, ocean, diving, coral, reef | System Requirements: graphics card with pixel shader support | Change Info: Minor bug fix, support for Windows Vista | |
