Description: KeyboardTest is an easy to use Windows based application that allows users to quickly check that all the keys on their computer keyboard are functioning correctly and look at the internal scan codes being generated by the keyboard. The down and up stroke of each key is registered and highlighted on a graphical image of a keyboard. Each time a key is pressed a variety of state information is updated in the window. Although desktop keyboards can be quickly and cheaply replaced, this is not the case for laptop computers where the keyboard is integrated into the computer itself. The failure of even a single key on a laptop computer can render the entire machine useless. Keyboard test includes a comprehensive help file and language independent testing by using BIOS scan codes.
Change Info: LEDs flash individually during the LED test as well as all-off and all-on; Compatibility with Vista; New option to set the number of times a key needs to be pressed to pass the test; New colors added to show too many/too few key presses in batch mode; Legend of color codes added to menu.
