Description:
Everything you do on the Internet leaves a footprint on your computer
When you enter a site on the Internet, your computer downloads that site and stores it in a local folder. It saves the images, text and other components that is needed to display the site.
A site on the Internet can also store information about your surf behavior, in small files that are known as Cookies. As if this was not enough your searches and form data is also stored locally. Finally the Internet Browser also creates a history file, where anybody can see what you did any day of any month.
Privacy Quick Fix is a software that help you to maintain your privacy while surfing the Internet. It's designed to make it easy for you to clear the most common files and folders that can be traced back to you. It also clears your local temp files and the recent file list.
All you have to do is press a button and all your history online and offline is wiped away.
Privacy Quick Fix works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Privacy Quick Fix also lets you shred you secret documents
Simply deleting a file and following that up by emptying the Recycle bin doesn’t make the file irretrievable. It just tells Windows that the file should not be visible to the user. The file remains on your hard disk until / if it’s overwritten.
More surprisingly is that not even a format of the drive will make your files disappear. The only way to permanently erase a file is to write it over with new information.
