Every professional Windows programmer knows the eternal dilemma: which library is to be used for the advanced networking?
There is a number of OS-based APIs for different network tasks, but they are well-known for their uncoordinated and incomplete set.
There are numerous third-party libraries, but you can hardly find a fully-functional and comprehensive one. Moreover, if you are VCL programmer, and your tool is Delphi or C++ Builder, your chances to get what you need is even lower.
However, what would you say if somebody offered you a networking library designed specially for VCL, which has no other dependencies? What would you say if the library could do HTTP, FTP, mail (POP/SMTP/IMAP), DNS, NNTP, certificates, and web-services? Which handles gzip-compressed resources and SSL-protected access?
