Presentations are the universal language for business communications. Rare lecture can be done without presentation materials. Presentations are the best way to promote nearly everything. But we had no good instruments for creating pretty presentations AND spreading them through e-mail, web-sites, and other media. PowerPoint creates huge files, which, in their turn, also require PowerPoint for viewing them. A good format for Internet-ready presentations is Macromedia Flash. However, creating a presentation in Flash requires much more skills than does PowerPoint.
Where is the golden medium?
You might have noticed, I had said «we HAD no good instruments», but now we do HAVE it: FlashSpring Pro. This handy tool embeds itself in PowerPoint and allows converting any publication to an Internet-ready Flash file. The software supports the majority of PowerPoint’s features, even such advanced ones as embedded video and non-trivial animations and slide-to-slide transitions.
FlashSpring Pro can create a standalone exe-file, or an .swf file, which you can easily embed in your web-pages. As for .swf files, the program can create a single presentation file or one file per slide.
