Explaining something to somebody is really a big problem. But to explain how to use a complicated program to a user sitting on the opposite coast is even a greater problem. It would be much easier to explain everything if there were an opportunity to demonstrate an example. But, you can’t travel 300 miles away, or more, to show somebody that «All you need to save your files is to click the Save button on the toolbar, which has a picture of a floppy disk». What can you do? The Answer is ScreenVirtuoso.
With this utility, all you need to do is select the area, click «Record», perform the actions which you want to demonstrate («Pause» and «Resume» are also available), click «Stop», and voila! Now you have a video file, which you can send by e-mail, attach to a tutorial, or publish to a web site. During the recording process, you can easily annotate the resulting «video lesson» with a text or images. Moreover, the program has a useful «panning mode»; this feature allows recorded area to follow the mouse pointer. The file can be converted to your favorite format (VCD, DVD, MPEG or even Macromedia Flash SWF), which is extremely convenient for online Internet tutorials. In fact, its functionality is easy to use and easy to learn. The software can even record streaming video from a DVD or the Internet (no «black screen» any more).
