Schematic is a rich diagramming tool, combining powerful capabilities of creating, changing and controlling diagrams with logical and easy user interface. Creating complex and pretty diagrams with schematic is not harder than creating complex and pretty documents with your favorite text editor.
Schematic’s diagrams consist of widgets connected with connectors. Widgets are selected from Schematic’s rich objects repository, providing you with many collections of common diagramming objects like technical/hardware (electric schemes, computer and telecommunication networks), logical/software development (UML diagrams, dataflow diagrams), and graphs (which can plot «real» data, loaded from file or edited manually).
«Connectors» are lines of several possible shapes connected to each widget «socket» (connection point); connectors are smart enough to move and reshape themselves when corresponding widgets are moved.
Each widget as well as each connector end or segment can have textual labels edited in-place.
Schematic has several features for lightening entire diagram alignment and management. It provides tables (you can place widgets inside cells), entire field grid (you can snap widgets to it).
