How many times you were irritated by an «unsolvable» crossword or other word puzzle? Even if you are very, VERY erudite and very, VERY balanced — your mood would be slightly affected when you are struck with something too overcomplicated. You just tried to take a rest and relax you brain; instead, you have broken the mood and gotten the feeling of «dumb me» or «dumb puzzle». To the contrary, you can just use Cross+A and have all your best of all those «brain checks».
Cross+A has numerous methods for helping you to play «word games» when they become too tangled to be funny. First, Cross+A helps you find a specific word by a number of criterions; there are options like «I know the word length, and some letters», or «I know some syllables», or «I can say something about word description»… Then, there are several options for solving multiple-word puzzles like «all possible anagrams for the word», or «two words where the first’s end part is the second’s start part», or «chain of words, morphing between first and last by one letter changing»… And much more! (Not saying about spell checking support and multiple languages dictionaries available.)
A special database of Proverbs and Sayings (40000 in English by default, French and German available to download) can be useful either for puzzle-cracking, or for self-education and erudition.
