The Flash (SWF) and Flash Video (FLV) file formats are very common and useful on the Web. Their only drawback is their «thing in itself» nature: You hardly can change those files, extract their parts or convert them to other formats. You hardly can — unless you have SWF Toolbox! In this case, you can do virtually any conversion with Flash/Flash Video files.
Here is an (incomplete) description of what SWF Toolbox allows: Convert Flash to common video format; convert into series of images or single animated GIF; convert between FLV, SWF, and Projector (self-contained EXE files with flash content); make screensavers. This feature-list is great, but SWF Toolbox has even more in each feature to surprise you. Think about this: you can convert plain Flash video to DivX video, but also you can convert an interactive Flash application, like a Flash game — in this case SWF Toolbox works like a «recorder» of what you do in the game, for further viewing. Or think about this: you can do a non-obvious conversion to the EXE (Projector) format, changing file icon, window title, and even add some controls to the window!
