There is one interesting and valuable kind of software: Programs, which grow from some small «real-world goodie» imitation, but then, enriched with all the abilities today’s computer provides, these programs suddenly become multi-purpose, useful and competitive software suits. They are the example of how a «small real-world idea» can be re-born as «serious business application».
TurboNote+ is a good example. It has grown from the real-world idea of a sticky note, which is good only for small, momentary notes that you can forget tomorrow.
