If I told you, «Hey, here is a new bookmark manager!» ? Likely, that would hardly impress you. You’d likely cry, «Wha??? Another one?» But wait. Power Favorites is a really special one. «Special» doesn’t mean «strange» here; it’s rather «extremely well thought out»!
Power Favorites works just like any stand-alone desktop bookmarks browser. Nevertheless, its features are organized in the way that takes the best possible of in-browser bookmarks, online bookmarks service and stand-alone app. Like a standard in-browser «Favorites», Power Favorites allows adding bookmarks with a single click (there is a «bookmarklet» for all popular
Windows browsers and a floating «basket» for drag-and-dropping) and opening a bookmark in a single click too. Like popular online services, Power Favorites allows you to have the same set of bookmarks on several computers: all your bookmarks can be synchronized through Power Favorites’ own server or through the well-known del.icio.us.
But, as Power Favorites IS a stand-alone program, it adds some goodies, that can’t be found in other solutions. You can import and export bookmarks from any browser, and you can export them at any moment. You can choose, in which browser your bookmarks are to be opened. You can organize your bookmarks by folders AND by tags (and have the option to see the tag cloud or the plain tag list). Finally, you have several handy tools, like bookmarks availability checker and bookmarks duplicate finder.
