VirtFire is a little, pretty decoration feature suitable for almost any website. It looks like a black nightly rectangle with a burning fire in its bottom part, and a single text string rising from the flame and floating through the rectangle in a variety of styles. VirtFire is a Java applet, but you don’t need to know Java or HTML to integrate it in your own website, for VirtFire comes with a visual code generator. With that generator, you can configure all of the applet’s parameters, preview the results and copy the result code to insert into your page.
VirtFire offers a great number of customization options. First of all, and naturally, you can set up the size of the fire rectangle and the text that is to be rising from it. Besides that, you can change the fonts, styles, sizes and colors, directions in which the text is to float, and the target window where the entire flame is to appear. You can also change the «scenario», i.e. the number of cycles in each part of the «show». (Or you may change nothing at all, as the software has reasonable default settings.) Once all options are set, you can press «Generate HTML code» or «Preview» (in the latter case, HTML would also be generated).
The flame shown by VirtFire is very dynamic and almost photo-realistic. The entire picture has rather Gothic and very professionally-designed look.
