Fast Link Checker addresses the problem of checking links between files and pages on a website of any size and complexity. It works just like a «web-crawler»: starts from an arbitrary page and goes through all links until all links within your site are analyzed; then, Fast Link Checker provides you with a detailed report on links that are broken, their location, and the specific error that occurred when the link was analyzed. The report can be viewed as either a detailed list of errors or as site structure with marked «problem files».
Fast Link Checker has a very smart set of options. It can check a number of link types and protocols (HTTP(S), FTP, FILE), though allows you to limit those; other types of «checking limits» include directory depth, file sizes, connection speed, external links, and so on. The checker can respect «robots.txt» (file defining which files available for indexing by search engines) or ignore it — as you wish! The customizable «user agent» field allows either to distinguish Fast Link Checker in access logs, or, the other way around, «mimic» one of the popular browsers.
