E-mail is the most basic, old, common and reliable way of Internet communication (in fact, e-mail is even older than the Internet itself). There are also many situations, where e-mail is almost the ONLY way of communication available. But if I say: «Having just e-mail is enough for living!» — What would you think?
I’m telling you: even when you need extremely complex operations with remote computer (upload or download files, browse directories and manage the entire computer), you can get all that done with just an e-mail connection (imagine a situation where company policies and firewalls don’t allow FTP and other «advanced» communication protocols). Think, it’s impossible? — You’ve missed! Because I have GetByMail.
GetByMail’s main goal is sending the computer’s wide set of communication commands through the narrow channel of e-mail. All you need is setup the software on both computers you want to work with and connect each of them to its own e-mail (POP/IMAP/SMTP) account. Then you can use GetByMail like, say, common file-clients: list files and directories on the remote computer, download, upload, rename and move them — it is the software’s task to transmit all commands and responses via e-mail. You even can make screen shots, log on and log off remotely!
Additionally, GetByMail has advanced security settings (define which clients are allowed to connect and what they are allowed to do) and provides the capability of «command-line» management (you can send commands as raw e-mails without utilizing GetByMail on the client computer). | | | Learn more about GetByMail… |
