From the very beginning, computers were designed to process data. So, since 1950-s, again and again the same question was raised and solved: what data formats are we to use. Tons of formats were defined; text and binary, with tables and named fields, with esoteric assumptions made about various aspects… Fortunately, now we have the XML format, well-standardized, with equally well standardized description formats (DTD and XMLSchema), with great utilization in the Web, SOA and other business-related categories of software. Unfortunately, there is still a ton of legacy data formats used for storage and interchange, which developers have to parse and convert to the conventional XML.
CredibleXML solves this exact problem. It provides a full-featured IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for the visual development of legacy-format parsing logics and the conversion of those formats to XML. CredibleXML’s most valuable features are namely its Template Library with a predefined description for many common legacy formats and, even more important, the capability to generate .Net and Java royalty-free converters for discovered formats. With CredibleXML, you will be able to define and debug the logics for virtually any format, text or binary, with fixed-width, delimited or mixed fields.
