If you want to have your workplace always ready for work, you need how to control its state. When your workplace is a computer, «controlling the state» will include something like controlling the performance, free space, network connections, etc. The common methods of controlling those parameters available in Windows aren’t too weak, but they just aren’t «online» enough; you can either see just notifications of critical events («memory too low», «free space too low», «no connection») or information on the current state somewhere deep inside the system. What about always seeing information like «how your computer is»? — For that purpose, you will need special tools. And Mihov DiskFree IS a tool of this kind, related to free space on your disks.
The tool is really simple and yet informative. The indicators it provides are a small floating window with all logical disk names and their free space; and an icon in the tray area (near the system clock) showing one disk you’ve selected in the graphical form (the red area indicates space used, the green area indicates free space).
Through the program options, you can set which disks are to be shown in the floating window, and which ones are to be drawn on the tray icon (you can also choose to show several disks in the tray by simply running several copies of Mihov DiskFree). The application is smart enough to automatically start at Windows startup (only if you want), so you can always be informed on «what’s going on».
