Permanent necessity in changing my working environment drives me crazy. I just can’t work without changing this boring «standard» appearance of desktop elements. If you feel just like me, Change Folder Icons is just for you.
What does this program do? Oh, only one pretty simple thing. It allows you to replace the yellow folder icon with any other icon you want. Actually, you can set your own picture to any folder on your computer. For example, I want to set a different icon for a folder with MP3s and a folder with some important working documents. That wish sounds quite natural, doesn’t it? And if there is a good program which allows me to do this, isn’t it a wonderful program? A dumb question! Just have a look at this great number of features. You can change icons for several folders at a time. Not only a folder icon can be changed, but also a drive icon. You can apply even the icons which are found inside any «.exe» or «.dll» file. Also they can be exported from those files to the «.ico» format. Moreover, Change Folder Icons founds all folders, where icons were changed by other software, and makes them «right». It doesn’t matter what icon source is used.
