Digital century and digital style of work bring new possibilities to all of us, but they also bring new problems. And new ways to solve those new problems; and new unwanted effects of those ways… And one of the most general possibilities (and a source of the problems) is *possibility to copy*. It’s a problem; it’s not really new, even students with pen and paper can «cut and paste» dozens of pages; but in the digital world to copy some text is as easy as never before. But likewise in the digital world to «detect» copied parts is as easy as never before. Take the AntiPlagiarist software and check your students and colleagues.

The idea behind AntiPlagiarist is dead simple (it doesn’t mean it was easy to do the software). You just take the doubtful work and run the program against it to find repeating passages. In the simplest usage scenario the work is tested against itself, to find author’s «self-copying» (it’s a frequent case in programmers’ work, and students also tend to use this method to enlarge volume of their works). AntiPlagiarist can also check the selected work against any number of plagiarism sources. The program work is easily customizable (there’s even reports format) and really fast.
