Ready photos masking and composition is possibly one of the most complex tasks in photo post-processing. Since the photography (and photo-processing) has become mostly digital, that has caused the advent of many kinds of software suits for the automatic and manual processing of photos. Still, you can have hard time trying to find good masking (matting) tools. But now, meet Recomposit!
Recomposit provides you with precise and accurate matting tool and layer-based composition. There are two matting methods that can be used: bluescreen (chromakey) and inside/outside edge. The first one is fully automated and works for the special kind of photos made with a monotonous (typically blue) background; the second one requires some work and can be used for any kind of photos and objects: you just select two rough contours close to the objects edge, inside one and outside one, and Recomposit will make the rest! Clothes, hair, semi-transparent objects and small details all will be accurate and in place. After matting, you can use Recomposits handy layer-based composition to give new pretty background for your pretty objects; also Recomposit has some high-level features to help you (like composing object with its own background but blurred or erasing object from its background with the «inpaint» feature). Recomposit also provides the extended version that can run as a Photoshop plug-in and perform batch matting for multiple of images.
