Apple’s iPod symbiosis with a desktop/laptop computer has a major drawback: it’s a one-way road. You can fill your player in with iTunes, keep it well-organized and lovely, but once «it’s there», you can’t «get it back». Well, do you need to?
Of course, yes! Your «property» is on your player: you can lose those favorite songs on the computer and it will be a major pain to recover them. Moreover, you can upgrade your iPod to the next generation or even a different player. And even more, you «property» is not limited to just songs; your hand-made playlists and ratings are also a precious part of yours, and it would be really unfortunate to lose them.
What CopyTrans does is called «iPod backup», but it’s much more in its heart. This excellent software allows you to load all the data from your iPod back to your computer. I mean, ALL: songs, ratings, playlists, favorites, you can entirely rebuild your music library any time you wish.
