In 1849, prominent mathematician Leonard Euler published his work «De quadratis magicis» («On magic squares»), describing properties and construction of «squares of digits» with special constraints for sum by rows and columns. In 1979, American architect Howard Garns published in Dell Magazines a puzzle called «Number Place». In 1986, Japanese puzzle publisher Nikoli republished Garns puzzle under «Sudoku» title. In 2005, the popularity of Sudoku became international. In 2006-2007 SudokuPolska.com published My SUDOKU, the modern computer version of the puzzle with a long history.
In My SUDOKU, first you see wittily designed game cover (with both Euler and Japan in the design), the large friendly game field and a few understandable controls. My SUDOKU allows you to select a preferred level of difficulty (the number of initial digits depends on this level). Then, you press «Enter digits» and have an initial field. Now you should enter you digits following the sudoku rules (also provided with My SUDOKU) until the field is full. At any time you can check your current progress with «Check and answer buttons», and the game will inform you if some of entered digits arent compliant. Also, if you cant move further, you can cheat with «Solve for me» button and teach yourself with provided solution.
