Mahjongg is one of world’s oldest board games. This game involves a great deal of skill, strategy, calculation, as well as some luck, of course. Mahjongg has been played for centuries and is now one of the most popular gambling games in Asia, while steadily winning popularity across the world. As any successful type of entertainment, it has gradually migrated into personal computers, where it’s played by thousands of casual players from all over the world. 2008 Mahjongg Lite is a 3D version of the game written in OpenGL. Although offering a new perspective on a familiar game, the application has very modest system requirements and can be played on virtually any computer. The rules are simple: you have to click on the tiles by pairs to eventually remove them all. The only condition is that both of them must be free: no tile on them and at least one free side — no tile on their left or right. The tiles must be identical, except for a situation when they belong to the Flowers or Seasons family. In this case, they have to be from the same family. You will only find one tile of each kind — that is, four Seasons and four Flowers. For all other tiles, there are four of each type (i.e. two pairs) on the board. The «Hint» button on the toolbar will help you when in doubt about your next move.
