Believe it or not, there is a solution that can help you get what you’re looking for, and its name, as you might have guessed, is Summarizer. It goes through documents and extracts their main ideas to brief summaries. Thus, instead of having to read large amounts of text and then putting their main idea on a separate sheet of paper, with Summarizer you can just read the summaries prepared for you and rather concentrate on your primary job.
The software can create theme, structure or concept-oriented summaries. Depending on your preferences or semantic weight of selected categories, you can have summaries generated or rearranged of what’s most important for you in the texts.
The application integrates with Microsoft Office applications and Internet Explorer and can be used as a browser toolbar. The collection of skins that accompany the main application will please your eye as you work with the software.
It’s hard to understand how the program does all that, but if your goal is to research and summarize large amounts of textual data, you will really appreciate it.
