Proxel Lens Corrector is a software suit for correcting lens aberrations, for example, wide angle lens’ «fish eye» when you shoot extremely wide landscapes. Proxel Lens Corrector is characterized by extreme quality, easy user interface and automated tool for camera/lens analysis.
The software works this way: Lens Corrector itself is a Photoshop plugin. So, you just load your image in your Photoshop (on Windows or Mac), select Lens Corrector and set up the params, in a minute having your image fixed. One of really smart tricks Lens Corrector does is canvas size enhancement, so you have your fixed image in a size it should be, if it has been made without distortion. But the heart of program’s smartness is the companion application Proxel Lens Analyzer. It is a standalone application, which does all the dirty work of selecting «right» params you’ll further use in Lens Corrector. The analysis process doesn’t require much knowledge or work from you: you just should provide several sample distorted images with long lines which should be straight (in reality). Basing on those lines, Proxel Lens Analyzer will understand what correction is required for your camera/lens and store information in a special *.lcf file. Now, you just load this file in Lens Corrector and have all parameters for photo correction!
