VRMars-Spirit — The Red Planet Mars 3D is an interactive virtual reality simulator of the Martian surface created on the basis of high-resolution images acquired from the Spirit rover created by NASA. This state-of-the art vehicle has been on Mars for much longer than planned and has already taken thousands of high-quality images. The software uses its own graphics engine named VRPresents that is generally faster and smoother than those based on OpenGl or Direct3D. It gives you a full impression of traveling inside Spirit across the dusty plains of the planet. You can switch between 6 available resolutions, zoom in and out, move in any direction, watch Martian landscapes from different angles and even engage the demo mode that will show you around while you lean back in your armchair to enjoy the magnificent news.
