That might be the major question if you didn’t have the Hide My Windows software. Now the only question is what do you want your boss — or a stranger — to see on your screen when they get around.
The name of the program clearly describes its purpose — that’s bringing the freedom to people under control. The author seems to have survived a countless number of «delicate» situations, so he came up with a round dozen of solutions for meeting unexpected guests. Another hit on the same keys will bring the hidden applications back to their default positions.
The «allowed» and «prohibited» content, as well as the «magic» keystrokes, are defined in the settings window, which itself can be turned into a business-looking one, so that whoever sees it doesn’t think you’re doing something other than work-related. The program is smart enough to turn off sound for hidden applications and hide the marked windows when screensaver starts. The program can start automatically when Windows starts. It doesn’t take space on the taskbar, running in the background and just doing its job.
