It’s really boring to browse a static website when the entire web gets visual and dynamic. It doesn’t make sense to click and wait in our time of single-click solutions. It’s ridiculous to reload an entire page just to expand a menu or open a search form. This is especially true for e-mail applications, for we spend hours with them on the daily basis. A fresh wave in the Web mail industry is MailBee WebMail, a full-fledged Web mail application with AJAX interface.
Although it’s a common Web mail application on the back end, it gives an outstanding user friendliness and comfort on the front end. Its overall appearance captivates; messages are listed in a well-proportioned format, a single click on any column header arranges them by that header. To toss messages between folders, you can simply drag them. The editor is packed with features just as heavily as the viewer. It includes a full-fledged rich-text editor, allows attaching multiple files to a message and even auto-completes recipient’s address from the address book automatically as you type it.
You can set the look and feel of the application on your own, by defining the list and order of the headers and other objects through the control panel or, on the other hand, you can just download and apply a new skin, and the new appearance will be set for you automatically.
Built as a set of scripts, MailBee WebMail Pro is can run as either a front-end for an existing mail server or as an entire Web mail solution with a built-in mail server. It can run as a stand-alone application or be a part of a larger project, as it allows bypassing the login screen when user’s credentials are known to the parent script.
WebMail Pro is shipped as source code, what allows you to use it «as-is» or modify the scripts to suit your needs.
