File Cataloger 1.1.2, Just Like Explorer, Yet Better

There are several very different approaches to files cataloging (organizing) task. Some people argue «folders are completely enough», others fall in love with Web-like «tags» and «tag clouds», thirds tend to add some science to topic and talk something about «graphs» and «facets»… For those of us, who likes folders and standard Explorer, yet wants all of them to be seriously smarter, there is File Cataloger.
First, in File Cataloger you can have a catalog of folders, being in different places on your disks; and even of those ones being on your CDs and removable media: this way, you can do the catalog of all your music from all discs, which would be always available for browsing and search. Next, a feature, very useful for cataloging, which is ability to add description, thumbnail and any number of custom properties to every item, which allows you much more thorough describing then standard Explorer.
In addition to this «organizing base», File Cataloger is extended with plug-ins (adding new actions, available for each catalog items), file format parsers (for exporting content of organized files and searching inside them) and scripts (allowing new batch actions on the bunch of files simultaneously). | | | Learn more about FileCataloger… |
