Power Mixer: Volume Control Made Natural

Although turning the volume on a PC takes just a click of the mouse, since we often need to adjust it about a million times a day, even that simple thing done so many times can drive us crazy.
Power Mixer allows solving the trouble once and for all: How about replacing the «old and moldy» standard volume control with a more convenient and functional product? With this application, you’d not only enjoy the natural way of adjusting the volume, by rotating the mouse wheel or pressing user-defined hotkeys, but also to mix sounds from numerous sources and automate the adjustment of the volume by the clock.
The application features an advanced sound mixer, like the real sound engineer’s switchboard, with «knobs» and buttons for adjusting bass and treble tones, volume and balance, etc. for each «channel». All available channels on all sound cards currently active are displayed in a grid where you can mute, adjust or combine any of the channels any way you’d like instantly. You can also choose to view selected channels as visual control bars, with knobs and buttons. To speed up the navigation through numerous devices, you can group the devices you need to control at once into a «desk». Switching between desks is as easy as pressing a hotkey on the keyboard.
Having set all sound parameters for a certain sound environment, you can save them in a preset. Whenever you need to apply a certain sound «theme», you can instantly launch the corresponding preset by just pressing a hotkey. Or, you can have the program apply a certain theme at certain time automatically — Power Mixer comes with a scheduler, which can automate applying selected presets. Moreover, with Power Mixer’s command-line support, and you can even have your game or other application to set the required volume automatically.
Summing it up, Power Mixer is a great tool for everyone who wants master the sound without a lot of hassle.
