AllMedia Grabber: Treasures Right under Your Nose

To find a certain picture, movie or sound, we normally open the web browser and start searching the Net for the subject of out interest. But have you ever thought about looking down your hard drive — maybe the thing you are in search for is already on your disk?
AllMedia Grabber browses your hard disk (or the locations you specify) and finds pictures, videos, music and sounds, hidden inside your binaries — executables, libraries, office files, databases, custom controls and other binary files — and extracts all multimedia content it has found, saving it to individual files. The search results appear in an explorer-like file browser window, where you can view the list of extracted files, rename files, delete some or all of them, copy them to clipboard to share with other applications or save as desktop wallpaper. The images can be previewed in the thumbnail format or viewed in the original size with the built-in viewer. With the built-in converter, they can be quickly turned into BMP or icon files. To this moment, the grabber can find and extract files in almost two dozens of multimedia formats, including the majority of popular image, video and audio formats.
Despite its powerful functionality, the application is very easy to operate. It is integrated into Windows shell; so, to search a disk or folder, just select what needs to be searched (one or several locations) and launch the scanning from the right-click context menu. The process may take some time, but you can take a break at any moment: just hit the Pause button to hold on; you can resume at any time later.
